I studied Italian and History of Art at Edinburgh University and graduated in 2008 having spent my third year abroad in the mesmerising city of Florence! I studied at the university there and also worked on Time Out's Best of Florence guidebook. Planning your year abroad, adapting to living in a foreign country and finding a career which uses your new-found skills are important steps for any student but there wasn't a definitive source of information when I set out, which is why I set up ThirdYearAbroad.com - to help students and their parents before, during and after the year abroad. I graduated from Bristol University in 2008, having studied French and Spanish. I decided to spend my third year abroad in Paris and Buenos Aires in Argentina. I then went to Mexico, Puebla, to work as a language assistant once I'd graduated from Bristol.
