    1. Erasmus Work Placements

    Erasmus funding is not just for students wishing to study abroad - you could work abroad and still receive the same amount, possibly plus a salary! You can find a placement (traineeship/internship) for 3 to 12 months in an enterprise or organisation in another participating country. Find out more and read the Erasmus Student Charter.

    2. IAESTE

    Any undergraduate students studying science, engineering and applied arts, can apply for the IAESTE scheme, to get work experience overseas. It is a scheme which usually lasts approximately 8-12 weeks, from any time between June and September, although there are exceptions to this rule. Get in touch with one of their representatives to see what’s what.

    3. Leonardo da Vinci Programme (Graduates)

    If you have recently graduated, you may be able to benefit from a work placement in another European country. Leonardo Mobility funding enables UK organisations to offer work placements in other European countries and provide individuals with a unique opportunity to enhance their skills and gain valuable experience. Participants can be any age but must not currently be studying in Higher Education. Find out more about the Leonardo da Vinci Programme.

    4. Grundtvig (Adults)

    Grundtvig offers funding to adult learners who wish to visit European countries to take on work placements or attend conferences and training courses.
