The TYA network in action! Inspiring students to study languages

An exciting thing happened today. There I was, innocently Twittering away about the magnificent entrepreneurial MADE Festival I attended yesterday, when all of a sudden I was presented with a challenge. This was the sort of challenge I have been unwittingly preparing myself for since I launched ThirdYearAbroad.com last year, and boy was I up for it.

 

I am aware that there are a huge number of misconceptions about language degrees, but none more so than the idea that the year abroad is terrifying, cripplingly expensive and not worth it. When Laura got in touch, I couldn't resist putting our brilliant network of year abroad graduates into action. Here are the results:

This got me thinking that if we can persuade Laura to study Modern Languages in a morning, we can surely team up and do the same thing in a larger scale for sixth formers across the country (and beyond!) There is something exciting afoot... Watch this space...
