    Constance Malleret is studying French and Spanish at the University of Bristol. After a comfortable semester as an Erasmus student in Toulouse, she plunged into the great unknown of Central America, working for an independent organisation just outside of San José, the Costa Rican capital, an adventure which she detailed in her blog. Here are some things she’d wished she’d known before, and her top tips on living 'la vida tica'.
