Wicked little photography museum near Balderas in Mexico City. It's free and the exhibitions change every month, so definitely worth visiting often if you're in the area or if you're there for only a few days!

The poetically named 7 Lizards is a great little hang out for the cool cats of the Marais and you'll want to headbop to some fine rifts and saxophone solos...one for the little black book of good places to go!

Free on the last Sunday of every month, but judging by their exhibitions, you won't want to wait that long to take in some incredible pieces.

Good little place to get the party started in Montmartre!

You HAVE to try their huge salads, especially the duck one - place to take the parents, we think!

Whether you're into art deco, you fancy something well, fancy, or you want to check whether the rumours of a 'no mobile phone' is true, you need to pay a visit to this charming coin of Paris!

...no joke, it is simply the best little place on this gorgeous street, great atmosphere, sharp waitressing...Just take a look at the walls for a quick flick through all the aficionados! One certainly not to miss, and it's possibly the cheapest eat in the whole neighbourhood, which also helps. Just make sure you go there on an empty stomach!

Possibly the best little restaurant, tucked away in a corner in Bastille and offering some sweet and savoury delights for student-friendly purses. A must if you're in the capital!

The Shamrock bar may seem at first like an expat joint, but surprise surprise, you'll be more often than not rubbing shoulders with true portenos. Good selection of drinks upstairs with some grungy music, with the venue opening up downstairs on weekends as it doubles up as an electro club. Don't miss out on their happy hour, just don't go for the Fernet Blanca!
