Accommodation in Perpignan (near to the Uni) 1 Year ago Karma: 0
Anyone going to The University de Perpignan Via Domitia that wants someone to Flat share?

I'm looking for somewhere to live there other than the University Accommodation (as I've heard that its pretty poor) and no-one that I know off of my course is going there.
I'll be there from around the 10th of september till the end of January/middle of February.

If not it would be great if anyone could point me in the direction of the best places to stay there.

Thanks

I am in exactly the same position as you! I don't want to stay in the halls and there is nobody from my year going there either. I am studying for the full year September - May, hoping to move over there at the end of August to settle in etc. I am hoping to get somewhere in the town centre, the university is pretty far out and not particularly pretty I hear... Also I have been told most students cycle to the campus or get the bus which has an efficient service running from town. Could definitely use some help finding somewhere to live and someone to live with though!
On another note, have you had much correspondance from the university, I have only had one email and I am so confused about what to do next. Is there some sort of online registration? And where and when do we pick our modules?!
So much to worry about. I am going to be looking properly online for flats in Perpignan after my exams (finish at the end of this month) hopefully we can help each other out
I look forward to hearing from you!

Thats pretty much what I'm looking for... I'm guessing that the public transport shouldn't be too dear. I haven't as of yet, but i did enrol with my french tutor, but i've not heard anything from them. I think that there is, however i don't know what the url of it is, if you're in doubt it might be worth ringing the uni and checking with them. I think that we get to choose our modules before we start out year at the uni, at the actual university. Definitely too much to worry about, i wish that it was just like here, where we can move into halls and they're not that bad.
Oh yeah that would be great. I think that my french tutor gets a list of reputable estate agents that they use every year, so i might look into to that.

Hiya, I'm not quite in the same position in that I'm still looking through courses and will be staying at Perpignan until the end of the academic year (whenever that is, I don't actually know) but I just thought that since no one from my year is going there either it would be really nice to find people beforehand!

Hello all, I was wondering if either of you are done with all the business of the forms for June 15th? I'm stressing because I know for a fact that mine will not arrive in time because my university are terrible with correspondance and they only just signed it yesterday and it still has to come back to me in Edinburgh then go to France... They also won't sign my module choices until I have talked it over with the academic advisor in Perpignan so I have to send that blank even though it's supposed to be complete.. It's a nightmare.
On a brighter note, I have quite a lot of potential flats/villas etc in the town if either of you are still looking for accommodation? I could put you in touch with some people who have contacted me or even if you would be interested in sharing a flat (like there are some which are looking for 2 or 3 more flatmates for next academic year as french students who already live there, there are others where the landlord is just looking for students to have a 3 bed flat etc.) because it may even be easier for them to get all the rooms filled by a group looking together? I am having too much trouble picking a flat, there is too much choice haha! My university are useless and have no recommendations for accommodation or finance or anything in fact.. I am relying on other students!
