Erasmus central Oldenburg

Oldenburg, Germany great fun, social, clean, friendly, studenty

The university in Oldenburg helped me with everything right from the beginning and I had a brilliant social life!!  Students from all over the world have parties together and it really is non-stop fun. In Oldenburg I travelled frequently to Bremen and also visited Hamburg and Hannover, and I went to Berlin once.  I would definitely recommend Oldenburg; I was made to feel really welcome.

Useful local words: 'Moin!'  (Good morning...)

What not to pack: Too many smart clothes, didn't use them in the end!

What to pack: Your party spirit!

Couldn't have done without: My camera!  Photos of family in case you get homesick and a mini dictionary, just in case.

Word of advice: Take advantage of every social gathering - an easy way to making friends quickly in the first few months.
