  • Bradley Cooper speaking French

    Wednesday, 29 August 2012
Bradley Cooper is an American film, theatre, and television actor. He is known for his roles in the films The Hangover, The A-Team, Wedding Crashers, and Limitless. • Glovico is a social enterprise which offers real-time language courses with native teachers. The only difference compared to a "real" classroom is that you and your teacher won't be in the same place: you might be sitting on your sofa at home while your teacher will be working from his office in Guatemala or Senegal. We're interested in startups which use language or intercultural skills, so here is an interview with two members of the Glovico team about how and why the company was set up - to inspire you to start a business during or after your year abroad.
  • We are absolutely inspired by Bradley Wiggins' post-Tour de France press interview in fluent French (check it out below - what a cool guy.) so ThirdYearAbroad.com and the lovely Collins Language team are running a competition to find the best YouTube clip of a celebrity speaking a foreign language. They can be a famous person from any industry (sports, finance, entertainment, entrepreneurs, etc.) and the language must be any other than their native language or English (e.g. Sandra Bullock speaking German).
  • I just stumbled across this brilliant video of interviews with Modern Language graduates after their graduation ceremony at the University of Birmingham.

It's such a great opportunity to get feedback from graduates about their course, and to find out about the opportunities their university degree has opened up for their future, I'm surprised we don't see more of these videos online!
