  • It has been a while since I last sent out a sign of life on here, but I have been rather busy. I spent the last month and a half wishing the NHS extended its reaches until Belgium (and well, it sort of does with its EHIC, doesn’t it?).

Tell us a bit about you...
My name is Stephanie and I'm half Swedish, half Czech. I'm 23 years old and love travelling, reading and hanging out with friends when I'm not studying or working. I speak Czech fluently and can also speak French and a bit of Spanish.

    Where did you go?
    Belgium, Brussels.

  • My God, time goes by way too quickly for me. I can’t believe it has been coming up to 2 months of me being here now. Things that were stressing me out in the beginning have definitely improved, such as having adapted to the working hours of a full time job and now being able to stay out late without having to pay for it immediately upon waking up the next day.

Brussels, Belgium - wet, cosmopolitan, multilingual, dirty, fun

I worked in Brussels and had a really good time, the countryside around the capital is also really lovely, it's constantly got something to do so you won't get bored, but it's also quite relaxed compared to other capital cities, so it's not as overwhelming. Polish your beer-drinking skills and never, ever leave your umbrella at home... Check out the Eurotrash group on Facebook too, great nights and events organised by a group of young professionals :-)
