Jemma Bourn is studying Russian and English Literature at The University of Edinburgh. She spent her year abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia, where she studied at a small language institute called The Benedict School. She chose St Petersburg because she fell in love with its colourful buildings and winding canals on a previous trip to Russia and wanted to experience life in a large, modern Russian city, but was slightly fearful of Moscow's enormous population (18 million!).
